How to buy $MEME for dummies
Silver Surfer (@7Surfer7Silver7 on twitter) is leading the revamp of dontbuymeme.com (an OG NFT marketplace) with his project, MemeX (coming sometime in 2021).
With that, the marketplace will leverage the $MEME token. The yield you get from $MEME will be in the form form NFT’s rather than more tokens.
I listened to his Spaces and a few people asked how to buy.. so this is that. The how to buy $MEME for beginners.
- Go to $MEME’s coingecko page
- Click Markets and then click the MEME/ETH link next to Uniswap
3. That will take you to the Uniswap page where you can swap $ETH for $MEME.. simply click “Select a Token” and choose $ETH
3.5. Connect your metamask (if not already connected). If you don’t know how to do that, read this. If you don’t know how to get ETH into your metamask, sign up with Coinbase and then watch this.
4. Purchase as much $MEME as you want.
5. Your $MEME tokens might not show up in metamask after the swap. Don’t panic. In order to get them to display, go back to $MEME’s coingeck page and click the metamask icon next to contract on the right side of the screen.
6. This will prompt you to accept this within metamask — don’t worry, there is no cost here. After, you’ll see your $MEME in metamask!
7. For security, it’s best practice to link your metamask to a hardware wallet. If you don’t know how to do that, read this.
