So You Bought $ZNN..

or are about to buy $ZNN.. the assumption is you already read Shazz’s Ape’s Guide. For any questions about the project, that is the place to start.

This article serves as a quick FAQ of sorts for first-time $ZNN purchasers.

1. Buying

Mercatox is the best exchange we have right now.. there’s no KYC so you can register and purchase in the same day
Yes, liquidity sucks (spoiler, it sucks everywhere), and
Yes, you will move the market if you are purchasing any sizable amount
For the dex folks, wZNN is now available on PancakeSwap!!

If you want to move into $ZNN in a more sizable way (300 ZNN+), you can route through the OTC channel
Beware that there are scammers.. most common form is someone inviting you to another OTC channel full of scammers w/ fake escrows
On that note, use an escrow.. word is shaimo1000 is the man for that. Just @ him if you have a trade lined up

Can also buy on Stex.. need to do KYC here so might take a bit longer for verification (took 5 days just for me to get rejected)

2. Download Wallet

Download here
If hosting it on a VPS, you need at least 2GB of RAM for Linux, or 4GB for Windows and Mac or the wallet might crash

3. Start Staking

You’ll average between 0.1% — 0.2% per day, paid out in buckets of 0.9 ZNN

Because of this, it may take a while to see returns with low volumes of ZNN
Another caveat is that you need at least 600 confirmations before your coins are stakable (in the wallet, hover over the ZNN quantity in your recent transactions to see the number of confirmations.. Takes a handful of hours to get 600 confirms)
Before 600 confirmations, your coins are not mintable and will see value of FALSE when check getstakingstatus in the debug console
It is normal for the staking status symbol in the bottom right corner of your wallet to fluctuate between green (staking) and grey (not staking).. As long as your getstakingstatus is true, you’re good. Just be patient as you might not get your first 0.9 ZNN in 24 hours.. It’ll come
Keep in mind that if your computer goes to sleep or disconnects from the internet, you are no longer staking.

4. Transfer Wallet to New Computer as needed

Existing wallet : File -> Backup wallet
Install the wallet on the new computer
New Wallet -> Tools -> Information
See the App data directory at the bottom, navigate to it
Close the new wallet
Replace existing wallet.dat by your .dat backup (rename your backup to wallet.dat)
Reopen your new wallet

If having trouble, ping the one true king, Sigli, in the telegram

5. Stay Frosty

for when Alphanet releases.. You’ll need to swap your ZNN tokens within the first 3 months or they begin to decay
